This game took a little getting used to, but it is enjoyable. Good storyline, and fast paced action. It’s too bad that timing is sometimes a life or death matter.
As a young prince of a warlord, you start this game on the search for glory. All the men that stand in your way become stains on your scimitar, and you gain the Mataraja’s sacred blade, the Dagger of Time. When you reach an allied nation, there doesn’t seem to be a trouble in the world..and then it happens. A man that betrayed the Mataraja, joining your side in the previous battle, tricks you to unleash the sands of time. All the living creatures in its path are corrupted, their minds gone and the sand constantly reviving them, leaving violent immortals where sane men used to be. Only three survivors exist in the palace: the traitor, the prince, and the daughter of the Mataraja. Desperate to stay alive, the prince learns that the only way to end the lives of those affected by the sands is to plunge the dagger into their heart, harnessing their sand and empowering the dagger. Though it helps, it doesn’t change the fact that he has more than just mindless hordes to worry about. Not all is as it seems at first glance, and the other survivors are ‘very’ eager to take the dagger from you, not to mention the brutal defenses around the palace that are capable of slaughtering you before the blink of an eye. Can you survive the storm that time has brought, or will you be swept away?
All those who try to beat this game..good luck
to you. As far as I got with this, and no matter how much I
enjoyed it, the fact that pressing a button too soon or too late
can kill you frustrated me to no end. There’s also the fact that
there’s little room for the player to make personal decisions on
how to deal with a problem. Still, a good game. If you can
ignore the small flaws, you’ll enjoy it.
